So you want to write a Level?

Welcome to "How to Write a Level" 1.0! If you are reading this, you likely are a member of this site and want to add a level to the catalog (port it from the main wiki but in own words and still interesting). I've written this to help you bring out your best work, so don't skip through this! So, let's get started on your learning journey!

Secret, Joke, Sub, and Negative Levels

Firstly, I should get out that these also require porting, but also add original Levels (by that I mean ones that YOU made, not just reposting Level 69) to add some spice. Sadly, Joke Levels are harder to write than normal ones. This is because Jokes should be funny, not just that one that people didn't like. Sub-Levels (ones YOU make on here) should be original and have details of at least one of the Levels it's between. For Secret Levels they should be seeeeeecret (obviously), and for Negative Levels they should be pretty dangerous.

Writing Style

When writing a Level (or anything here in general) you should describe the Level in good detail while also telling about the risks. But make sure that any wanderer can understand what is happening. Simple words are key here, because we write these pages to help fellow wanderers.

You must place a rating module on every Level you make, using the following code:

You should (but not have to) place media in your Levels (don't if it has a watermark/copyright symbol on it, or has pornographic or illegal material) using the following code:

To place images on your page, click files, then click Upload From Computer. Then click on the file you want to upload.
To place media on your page, do the same steps as images, then use this code instead:
[[include :snippets:html5player
| type=audio
| url=THE URL OF YOUR FILE
]]
If you want to use a video instead, just swap audio to video. To use a collapsable to hide long lists, use this code:

You should replace the hide and open text with your own of course.
You can use footnotes to give extra info without cluttering up the page, to do so, here is the code:
